Cristiano Ronaldo Decides to Stay at Al Nassr Next Season, Reveals This

Cristiano Ronaldo has put an end to the speculation surrounding his future by confirming that he will be staying with the Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr.

According to a report on ESPN on Monday (6/9), Ronaldo's contract with the Saudi Pro League club will expire on 30 June 2025. However, the captain of the Portuguese national team said that he had been approached by clubs participating in the Club World Cup.

Having successfully won the UEFA Nations League trophy, Ronaldo confirmed that he will stay at Al Nassr next season.

'The future? Nothing will change. I will stay with Al Nassr,'" said Cristiano Ronaldo, as quoted by Crash.

Last month, Al Nassr's sporting director, Fernando Hierro, said that they were in negotiations with Ronaldo over a contract extension, as they face competition for the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's services.

There has been much speculation that Ronaldo has received a lucrative offer from an unnamed Brazilian club, and that he is also being targeted by Al Nassr's Saudi Arabian rivals, Al Hilal.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022, after leaving Manchester United and ending his second consecutive season as the Saudi Pro League's top scorer.

He has scored 25 league goals for Al Nassr this season, but the team are only able to finish third in the Saudi Pro League standings and have failed to secure a place in next season's AFC Champions League Elite.

Despite scoring 99 goals in 105 games over two seasons with Al Nassr, Ronaldo has yet to win a major trophy with his first Saudi Arabian club, having won only the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup since his arrival.
