Bad news has hit Manchester United's (MU) new defender, Leny Yoro, who is expected to be absent for up to three months due to injury.
Yoro suffered an injury during MU's pre-season match in the United States against Arsenal last Sunday (28/7).
In the match against Arsenal, Y oro only played 35 minutes before being pulled out by coach Erik ten Hag due to injury.
According to the Daily Mail, Leny Yoro is said to have suffered a metatarsal fracture so that MU is at risk of not being able to play the 18-year-old defender for three months.
The news was reinforced by the circulation of a video showing the player wearing leg protectors while walking.
MU itself will soon play the Community Shield match against Manchester City on August 10. Six days later, MU is scheduled to face Fulham in their first match in the English Premier League.
Even without the player, MU can still rely on Jonny Evans, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof before Leny Yoro recovers.
In addition to Leny Yoro, Rasmus Hojlund was also injured in Manchester United's match against Arsenal. However, his condition is claimed to be not as severe as the new defender.
