The 2011-2012 German Bundesliga champion club, Borussia Dortmund, has recruited German midfielder Pascal Groß from the English Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion.

Quoted from the club's official website, Thursday, the 33-year-old footballer who is part of the German national team squad at the 2024 European Cup has passed a medical and performance test to get a two-year contract.

"Pascal has been at the highest level for the past few years. He will give us solidity and flexibility. With his experience, he will be a leader with a positive impact on the team," said Borussia Dortmund Managing Director Lars Ricken.

Another important thing, said Lars, Pascal has been a Borussia Dortmund fan since he was a child.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund Sports Director Sebastian Kehl is happy to be able to bring Pascal back to Germany.

Previously, Pascal had indeed built a career in Germany and had strengthened clubs such as FC Ingolstadt and Karlsruher SC.

"Pascal has great composure and passing quality. His ability to fill more than one position will give a new dimension to our team," said Sebastian.

Sebastian considered Pascal to be a player who always spreads threats in the opponent's area. He is considered capable of making threats both directly and indirectly in all enemy areas.

Pascal Groß himself admitted that he was happy to be able to join his idol club. He promised to repay the club's trust with optimal play.

"I can't wait to play with my new teammates in front of the fans at Signal Iduna Park Stadium. I will work hard with all the players to achieve our ambitious goals," said the player born in Mannheim, Germany.

Throughout his career, Pascal Groß has played 228 matches in the Premier League with a record of 30 goals and 45 assists. In the Bundesliga, he played in 70 matches with a record of six goals and 12 assists.

In the German national team, Pascal scored one goal from a total of eight appearances.
