Barcelona won a landslide victory 0-4 in their visit to Real Madrid's headquarters in the 11th week of the 2024-2025 LaLiga, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Sunday (27/10). The victory made Barca even more comfortable at the top of the standings.
Hosting Barcelona, Real Madrid played with a 4-4-2 tactic. Carlo Ancelotti paired Kylian Mbappe with Vinicius Junior in attack.
Meanwhile, Hansi Flick implemented his mainstay 4-2-3-1 formation. Robert Lewandowski was supported by Lamine Yamal and Raphinha from the second sector.
As the host, Madrid had a number of attacks in the first half. Kylian Mbappe repeatedly threatened Barcelona's goal. In fact, the French striker had scored a goal, but was already caught offside.
Ultimately, no goals were scored in the first 45 minutes.
The second half was completely Barcelona's. By taking advantage of 59 percent of the ball possession, Barca scored four goals against El Real.
Barcelona's first goal came in the 54th minute. Escaping the offside trap , Robert Lewandowski scored with a shot from outside the penalty box.
Two minutes later, Madrid conceded again. Lewandowski scored his second goal of the match. The Polish striker continued Alejandro Balde's pass from the left wing with a header.
Trailing by two goals, Madrid tried to reply. Mbappe had scored a goal, but it was disallowed again because he was offside .
Madrid's focus on pressing made them forget about their defense. Barcelona scored their third goal through Lamine Yamal's narrow angle strike in the 77th minute.
The hosts were further outclassed when Raphinha got his name on the scoresheet in the 84th minute. The striker won a one-on-one before chipping the ball past Andriy Lunin.
Madrid tried to score in the remaining time. However, Barcelona's solid defense thwarted them. Barcelona won four goals without reply at Madrid's home.
With that result, Barcelona remains at the top of the standings with 30 points. Meanwhile, Madrid is one level below with 24 points.
