Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has asked his team to be wary of Sporting CP in the sixth match of the Champions League phase at the Allianz Arena Stadium, Wednesday (10/12).

Quoted from the club's official website, Monday, Kompany said that Sporting CP has good technical abilities and is supported by many talented players.

"They have fast players in attack who like to break through defenses. They also have midfielders and defenders who can play well. This is the Champions League. We want to perform at our best. Sporting have quality," Kompany explained.

The Belgian coach said that Sporting is a complete team and has the ability to play compactly when defending.

Kompany also highlighted that the Portuguese club has the ability to pose a threat through counter-attacks coupled with a strong defense.

"They have good players and aren't afraid to go forward. They also have a lot of players for the future. They're an exciting team. We have to give 100 percent. Sporting are in the last eight for a reason," Kompany emphasized.

Regarding Bayern Munich's strength to face Sporting, the former Manchester City player explained that almost all players are ready to play, except Luis Diaz who is still absent due to a red card suspension.

Specifically regarding Luis Diaz's absence, Kompany said there was a lesson to be learned as the Colombian player was already quite tired due to his busy schedule in recent times.

"It's no problem for him to take a few days off and go away. After that, he'll be back in top mental shape and resume his activities. He'll be back in a few days," Kompany said.

"Sometimes we give players a little extra rest, but they have individual training programs and continue to train at home. They train almost every day and also have their own physiotherapists," he said.
